Sunday 27 November, 8pm at the National Concert Hall

To celebrate his 80th birthday Phil Coulter is making a long awaited return to the stage of the N.C.H. This will be a show with a difference – a musical journey through the highs and lows of an always colourful career, from Eurovision winners to Bay City Roller smash hits, from Luke Kelly classics to all time piano favourites.

Phil’s story telling has become one of the highlights of his concerts and this show will give him ample opportunity to regale the audience with some hilarious tales. To add a new twist he has assembled a video compilation of some never before seen footage of his famous collaborators, from Liam Neeson to Billy Connolly. Priceless.

Having played some of the most illustrious venues in the world, from Carnegie Hall to the White House, Phil is really excited to revisit the most prestigious concert hall in the country. “Can’t beat a home town gig”, he laughs.

He’ll be joined on stage by some of his long time musical associates, virtuoso players, and by Special Guests, outstanding young tenor GEORGE HUTTON, from Derry and by his lovely wife and mother of their six kids, GERALDINE BRANAGAN.

Cork Opera House: Rescheduled from Saturday 18th September 2021 to Monday 28th of March 2022.

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin: Originally due to take place on 19 September 2021, the show will now take place on Sunday 27th March 2022. Please retain your original tickets, as they will remain valid for the new rescheduled date.

COVID-19 STATEMENT – Effective Immediately from 1800hrs 12 March 2020
Covid-19 Government Directive has been issued to cancel all public events until Sunday 29th March of a capacity of 100 people and over. Following today’s (12th March 2020) Irish Government directive to cancel all public events of over 100 capacity (indoor) and 500 capacity (outdoor) due to take place between now and 29th March, Pat Egan has now unfortunately had to cancel all shows during these dates. Original tickets purchased for all affected events will be refunded at point of purchase or will be honoured if show is rescheduled.

“It’s no joke … Cassettes have fast-forwarded in popularity and re-emerged as the underdog music format of choice for experiential listeners” according to Julian Ring.
“While streaming is “saving” the music industry and vinyl is in. according to Nielsen Music, listeners racked up 400 billion streams in 2017. Meanwhile, vinyl LPs have made up a larger share of the market each year since 2005. However the cassette tape is currently music’s fastest-growing physical medium. Yes, you read correctly: Cassette sales in the U.S. have more than quadrupled since 2011, with 174,000 tapes sold in the last year alone!”
